Balinese massage

Balinese harmony is one of the oldest, most popular, and most effective Oriental remedies; it creates harmony in the body with the help of Balinese massage. This massage, originating from the ancient Far East and based on knowledge of physiological points, is fundamentally different from European massage. By massaging acupuncture points, Balinese massage balances the elements of the body and reactivates stagnant energies. Through the stretches performed by the masseuse, blood circulation improves, and muscular tension caused by daily activities is relieved and unblocked. Therefore, the regular use of Balinese massage not only ensures a sense of well-being but also serves as an excellent preventive tool against cardiovascular, digestive, and musculoskeletal diseases. It affects the entire person on a deep anatomical and physiological level. When a person is healthy, vital energy flows without hindrance, but if it is blocked, the disruption in energy flow can lead to more serious illnesses in the long term. By releasing energy blockages, body harmony is restored, the body’s self-healing power is activated, and the immune system is strengthened.

The Balinese method combines point pressure, muscle stretching, and rhythmic movements similar to yoga in a light and relaxing style. Balinese masseurs use not only their hands but also their feet, forearms, knees, and elbows to relieve bodily tension. The massage is performed on a mat on the floor or on a massage table, fully clothed, without oil. Under its influence, not only do we rid ourselves of tension, but we also feel light and liberated, as if we have been reborn.

BALINESE MASSAGE – TORREVIEJA

We welcome all those who want to preserve their health, reduce tension, relax, and rest, and last but not least, those who enjoy Balinese massage. The original Balinese massage treatment relieves your fatigue, soothes your pain, and helps you regain your freshness. It stimulates and calms both the mind and the body. It improves lymphatic and blood circulation, helping to detoxify the body.

It stimulates the autonomic nervous system and internal organs, relieves stiffness and tension in muscles and joints, and increases the body’s flexibility. After a Balinese massage treatment, we feel refreshed and flexible. You can feel how well you can move! The stiffness and inflammation in our muscles cease. The stretches are unique, exciting, and well-structured elements of Balinese massage, but this healing art is much more than that. The massage, which consists of pressure and stretches, can best be compared to a passive yoga class. For some people, this is perfect, while for others, it might even seem burdensome.

BIOLOGICAL EFFECTS:

The many experimental or medically proven physiological effects of Balinese massage include:

  • Relieves muscle tension.
  • Promotes faster regeneration of muscle cells.
  • Improves concentration and performance.
  • Relieves stress.

WHO SHOULD AVOID BALINESE MASSAGE?

All Balinese massages have a positive effect on our body and contribute to maintaining health. They are also suitable for addressing physical and mental problems; however, they are not recommended in the following cases:

  • In the case of cancer
  • In lymphatic system diseases
  • High blood pressure, vascular problems
  • For those suffering from osteoporosis
  • In the presence of more severe varicose veins
  • In case of thrombotic diseases
  • For patients with epilepsy
  • During pregnancy
  • In case of open wounds or dermatological issues
  • For those with prosthetics (e.g., knee or hip prostheses)
  • Skin diseases: psoriasis, warts, wounds, ulcers
  • Heart disease
  • When taking anticoagulants
  • In febrile and infectious diseases

In other cases, with proper expertise and caution, Balinese massage can be used, even in cases of certain spinal conditions. However, in such cases, grips associated with twists should, of course, be omitted.

Traditional Massage

Balinese massage primarily activates the body’s energies through rhythmic acupressure along the body’s energy lines. The masseurs stimulate these key energy lines by applying pressure, releasing energy blockages, stimulating the flow of energy, and promoting the restoration of balance and harmony. Traditional Balinese massage is the art of stretching, pressure, and relaxation. No oil or cream is used, and the guest remains fully clothed. There is constant physical contact between the masseuse and the guest, but instead of “rubbing” the body and muscles, the massage uses acupressure, gentle twists, and stretches. It relaxes and releases the joints and stretches the muscles. The masseuse performs individual movements to properly relax the joints, releasing tension. The masseuse uses their thumbs, palms, forearms, elbows, knees, and feet in combination with rhythmic movements similar to a dance, in harmony with the client’s body.

We recommend:

  • For our guests with more tense muscle tone
  • For our guests with limited joint mobility
  • For those who prefer mobilizations
  • For anyone receiving a Balinese massage for the first time
  • For someone who is shy, doesn’t want to undress, but would still like a massage (we provide pants and a top for the massage)

    Oil Massage

Among the variants of Balinese massage, Balinese oil massage with aromatherapy is a fabulous blend of Eastern and Western techniques: the deep yoga-style stretches of Balinese massage are combined with the sophisticated Swedish-style massage from the West. The guest is completely nude and only covered with a towel.
Balinese massage with aromatherapy oils is more relaxing and less intense than traditional Balinese massage. The masseur does not use the pressure method but focuses more on loosening and relaxing tense muscles. Oil massage is a combination of different oils with aromatherapy. The volatile substances dissolve blockages in the body’s energy channels, thereby restoring the body’s energy balance.
Regular massage calms the nervous system, relieves muscle tension, stimulates blood circulation, reduces swelling, and boosts metabolism and intestinal function. The beneficial effects of aromatic oil massage therapies are also enhanced by the vibrations emitted by the scents.
The beneficial effects of the massage are enhanced by the aromatherapy massage oil selected based on the guest’s overall or momentary feelings and mood. Lavender, mango-peach, and lemongrass massage oils are recommended for relaxation; Plum-Ginger massage oil for muscle relaxation; for detoxification and to improve skin blood circulation, we recommend orange and cinnamon-scented massage oil. Grape seed oil and aloe vera massage oil have anti-inflammatory, regenerating, and moisturizing effects.

    We recommend:

    • Those who also want to enjoy the effects of aromatic oils.
    • Those who also enjoy European-style massage (which includes several Swedish massage techniques).
    • Those who enjoy stretching their muscles.
    • Those with more tense muscle tone.

    Chin-Neck-Head Massage

We primarily recommend this massage to people with sedentary jobs or those who lead a stressful lifestyle. It effectively helps to relieve accumulated tension and associated muscle pain, alleviates tension in the shoulder and neck muscles, and targets energy lines that run from the upper shoulders down, where muscle knots can form. The head and scalp massage is very pleasant and soothing, stimulates the nerve endings around the skull, and relieves headaches. It moves the scalp and stimulates blood circulation, which also promotes hair growth. It effectively resolves stress-related and muscle-related headaches, has a great effect on the circulatory system, bringing more oxygen and nutrients to the cells. It helps relax tense muscles in the shoulders, back, neck, and head, alleviating muscle stiffness, headaches, and eye strain.

    We recommend:

    • For office workers
    • For those who work in front of a computer
    • For drivers, taxi drivers, and transporters who spend all day behind the wheel
    • For hairdressers and beauticians
    • For athletes who want to relax the areas around the neck and shoulders
    • For those with neck and shoulder pain
    • For people who lead a stressful lifestyle

    Balinese Foot Massage

Foot massage is performed in a comfortable chair or on a mat, with the masseur using not only their hands and fingers but also cream, oil, and a special wooden stick. The masseur applies pressure to the reflexology points on the soles of the feet using the thumb or a wooden stick. Foot massage stimulates blood and lymph circulation, regulates the work of hormone-producing glands, promotes digestion and excretion, and relaxes the muscles of the soles of the feet and lower legs. Balinese foot massage involves stretching the legs, feet, and soles, and opening the energy lines. Each organ in our body is connected to a specific area of the sole and can be influenced through it. The sole is a map of the body, with meridian points for all our organs and body parts, so the effect of foot massage, despite the name, is not limited to the feet and soles but benefits the entire body and all internal organs.

    We recommend:

    • If you have little time and want to feel refreshed
    • If you have calf cramps at night and don’t know what to do
    • If the soles of your feet hurt
    • If you have calluses
    • If you have ankle sprains
    • If the muscle near your shin hurts
